This book is a really funny book. The funniest chapter is Miss Zarves. All is says is: There is no Miss Zarves. There is no nineteeth story. Sorry.
I thought it was really funny. I got it at the Davis County Library.
It was illustrated by Julie Brinkcloe and she does really funny drawings.
Like Miss Gorf looks like a witch, but she's not really.
I liked all of the funny names and sayings.
I liked this book SOOO much that I pretty much read some of it every day.
I think it is really funny for both children and parents, because my mom thought it was funny too. We read it together.
Lucy, I love this book too! I think I will go find it and read it (and the rest of the series)! Did you like the backwards story? I re-read it backwards and found I liked it the way it was written much better. Will you be reading the book "Holes" soon? I have a copy of that and will be reading it. We should start a book club! What do you think? You can post the club notes on your blog. So we could make you the secretary?
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the backwards story. I don't know about the book "Holes" but it sounds like a good book. I guess we can make a book club. I am reading Mrs. Piggle Wiggle right now.

ReplyDeletehaha! That is really funny! Aren't books so great?!? Have you authored any books or plan to? If you do, how do you add humor into the stories you write?
I can tell that you like to read so do I
